Unfinished Part: Home

For a long time we called the most of the downstairs of the house we moved into the “unfinished part.” It became a reminder to us that God’s not finished with us, any of us. God wants his children to grow and become more like his Son.

When Jesus was entering Jerusalem the religious leaders resented the acclaim Jesus was getting. Jesus responded that if the people kept quiet, the stones would cry out (Luke 19:39-40).

When we’re filled with him we can’t keep him in, and that means that part of glorifying God is having compassion on one another. The very next thing that happened after Jesus said the thing about the stones is that he cried over Jerusalem and the suffering that would come there.

Love God and one another. These songs are offered as a means toward helping us do more of both, in every part of our lives.
